Keyboard editor

Build it like a design tool.

An on-screen keyboard editor right over the running game: keys in grids, wherever your thumbs rest, on a phone, a tablet or a desktop.

  1. Keys in grids

Put keys in grids and drag them where your thumbs rest. Everything snaps to cells.

  2. Right-click for more

A new grid, a ready-made preset or a layer, right where you click.

  3. A layout per screen

Phone, tablet and desktop each keep their own arrangement.

  4. Test before you save

Test hands your keys to the game, so you play with them before you keep them.

Map any controller.

Map every button and stick of an Xbox, PlayStation or generic controller to the keys a game wants. Plug one in and press a button: the drawing follows it.

  1. Any controller

Xbox, PlayStation and generic pads, drawn as the one in your hands.

  2. Sticks your way

A stick as the arrow keys, or as the mouse.

  3. An action wheel

The keys that do not fit on a button, one hold away.

Action wheel

More keys than a pad has buttons.

Hold a button and point the stick: a ring of the keys a game needs — map, inventory, save, load — picked without looking down.

  1. Hold, point, let go

Hold the button, lean the stick towards an action and let go: its key is pressed.

  2. Up to eight actions

Each with a name and a key, or keys pressed together.

  3. Your three buttons

Choose which button opens the wheel, which picks and which closes it.

  2. Hearts from players

Players use what you shared and vote for what they like.

  3. XP for sharing

XP when you share, and more when the team makes yours the game's.

Touch, for every player

A finger is a mouse.

Questions

Custom controls, answered.

What are custom controls?

Your own on-screen keyboard and gamepad mapping for a game: which keys show on the screen, where they sit, and what each controller button presses.

Can I play with a touch screen?

Yes. Every game takes touch gestures for the mouse, and with custom controls you put the keys a game needs on the screen, right where your thumbs rest.

Which controllers work?

Xbox, PlayStation and most generic USB or Bluetooth controllers your browser recognises. Map every button and both sticks to the keys a game uses.

Do I need PRO?

Making your own controls comes with PRO. Every player can use the controls others share, and the touch gestures, for free.

Can I share my controls with other players?

Yes, with one press after saving. Other players can pick them and vote with a heart, and the favourites can become the game's own controls.

Do custom controls work in every game?

In every game the player runs with a keyboard: you choose the keys, so any game can get a touch keyboard and a controller mapping of its own.

PRO

Every game stays free. PRO is for the ones who play seriously.

Custom controls come with PRO, $4 a month, along with everything else it adds.
