Copyright & takedown

dos.games is a community-run preservation archive. If you hold the rights to something published here and would rather it wasn't, just tell us — we'll take it down.

How to reach us
Email andrej.mecir@gmail.com with a link to the page and a short note about which material is yours. We read every message and reply. No form to fill in.

What we do when you write

We read the message, look at the page, and take the material down while we do. If it turns out the request was mistaken — wrong game, wrong rights-holder — we put it back and tell you why. We aim to answer within a few days; we're a small team, so we'd rather say that plainly than promise a turnaround we can't always hit.

What to include

Nothing formal — enough for us to find the material and understand the claim:

  • Your name, and the company or estate you act for if that applies.
  • A link to the page (or pages) on dos.games.
  • Which work is yours, and a line on how you hold the rights.
  • An email address we can reply to.

How we handle it

We never pass the uploader's personal details to anyone claiming rights. We keep an internal record of what was removed and why, so decisions stay consistent. If someone repeatedly uploads material they clearly have no right to, we stop accepting uploads from that account.

If you just want a correction

Plenty of messages aren't takedowns at all — a wrong publisher, a misattributed screenshot, a credit we got backwards. Those are welcome at the same address, and they're usually a quicker fix than a removal.
